Join the Movement:
Slow Food in Western MA

Slow Food USA strives to create a world where all people can eat food that is good for them, good for those who grow it, and good for the planet.

From the Slow Food USA Website:

Slow Food USA unites the joy of food with the pursuit of justice. We cultivate nationwide programs and a network of local chapters, host educational events and advocacy campaigns, and build solidarity through partnerships. Together, we are dismantling oppressive food systems to achieve good, clean and fair food for all.

Here in Western Massachusetts, there isn’t yet a chapter—but I’d love to help start one. I am located in Easthampton.

My Vision
For me, Slow Food includes what we eat, the state we’re in when we eat it, the company we share, as well as the systems we’re part of. My vision grows from three interconnected layers:

  • Personal – Food and nervous system health go hand in hand. Eating slowly and in community helps us regulate, digest, and truly nourish ourselves.

  • Community – Shared meals and local projects bring us together, creating belonging and resilience in a world that can often feel isolating.

  • Planetary – Our food choices ripple outward. By supporting sustainable agriculture, regenerative practices, and food justice, we help care for each other and for the earth that feeds us all.

An Invitation
If this vision resonates with you, I’d love to connect. Use the gold Contact Judy button at the top of your screen.

Each chapter’s focus grows from the interests of those involved. Whether you’re curious about Slow Food, passionate about sustainable agriculture, or simply hungry for more community around the table—this is a space we can grow together.
